How do I sign in?

You can sign in with Google, or sign up / sign in with your email (signing up only needs an email and a password). After signing up with email, tap the link in the verification email before you start; the first time you sign in, you'll set your name and 24h ID. Phone number sign-in is coming soon.

I didn't get the verification email

Check your spam folder first, and add the sender noreply@use24h.com to your contacts so future emails don't get blocked. Still nothing? On the "Verify Your Email" page, tap "Resend Verification Email" (once every 60 seconds), then tap the link in the newest email.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in page, choose "Sign in with email" → "Forgot password". Enter your email and we'll send you a link to reset your password.

Can I change my 24h ID?

Your 24h ID can't be changed once it's set, so double-check before you save it. You can change your name, photo, and status anytime from "Edit Profile" at the top right of "Me" (or "Me › Personal info").

How do I delete my account?

Me → Account Security → Delete account. Your data is deleted along with it and can't be recovered; subgroups you created are handed over to the main group's creator. Photos and videos you uploaded to one-on-one and group albums are permanently deleted 90 days after you delete your account. During those 90 days they stay in the album, and the uploader is shown as "Deleted user". If you want to keep them, download them before you delete your account.

What if I get a new phone?

Sign in on your new phone with the same Google account or email. Your data is stored in the cloud and syncs back automatically. You can sign out of your old phone from "Signed-in Devices".

How do I add friends?

Tap the add friend icon at the top right of the Friends tab. You can search by 24h ID, scan a QR code, or share your QR code or 24h ID with them.

I got a message from someone I don't know

What happens if I tap "Ignore" on a friend request?

The request is hidden, and the other person won't know. It only shows up again if they send another request. To remove the request, tap "Decline".

How do I create a group or subgroup?

Tap the create group icon (the two-people icon) at the top right of the Chats tab. Once the group is created, you can share an invite link starting with use24h.com/join; a group can have up to 1,000 people. In the group, open the menu at the top right → "Manage Group" → "Create Subgroup". A subgroup can be set to "Public" or "Approval Required".

What does "Approval Required" mean for a subgroup?

For a subgroup that requires approval, main group members can only see its name. They need to send a request, and the subgroup's creator has to approve it before they can join. Until then, they can't see anything inside.

How do I transfer a subgroup to someone else?

Go to the subgroup → Manage Subgroups → "Transfer Subgroup Ownership". You can choose a subgroup member or the main group's creator. Before the creator can leave a subgroup, they also need to pick someone to take over.

What does Freeze do?

Where are my archived chats?

Tap the archive icon at the top right of the Chats tab. Archiving only affects you. Archived chats don't jump back to the list when new messages arrive, and you can unarchive them anytime.

Can I unsend a message?

Yes. You can unsend messages you sent within the last 24 hours, including text, photos, voice messages, and cards: long-press the message → "Unsend Message" → "Unsend". Once unsent, nobody can see it, and it can't be restored. Unsending a poll card or sign-up card marks it as canceled; unsending an event or ledger card doesn't delete the event or the ledger entry.

How do I split costs?

Add an entry in the chat's Shared Ledger or a Project Ledger, then choose who paid and who's splitting it (split equally, custom amounts, or by ratio). The Settle Up page works out the fewest transfers needed. If an entry is wrong, the person who added it can open it and tap "Edit".

How do I record foreign currency?

When adding an entry to a Project Ledger, choose the currency and enter the exchange rate yourself (you can check your bank's posted rates). Next time, the last rate you used for that currency is filled in automatically. Later changes in the exchange rate don't affect entries you've already added.

Is there a limit on Project Ledgers?

Project Ledgers are open to everyone with no limit, on both the free plan and Pro.

How do I record that I've already paid?

On the Settle Up page, tap "Mark as Paid" on that transfer. Either the payer or the receiver can tap it, and whoever tapped it by mistake can undo it.

Does 24h transfer money for me?

Can other people see my diary?

No. Your diary, weight, period records, Personal Ledger, and the Assistant's Stash (called "My Note" when the Assistant is turned off) are visible only to you. Today's Mood is also only visible to you by default; after you share it with specific people, they'll see a Mood Bubble on your profile photo, which disappears automatically at 23:59 that day.

How do I add Close Ones?

Me → Close Ones, then invite them. Once they accept, you can keep track of anniversaries, answer a daily question, share a Wish Box, and write letters to the future together. The free plan allows up to 5 Close Ones; Pro has no limit.

How much is Pro?

Planned 24h Pro pricing: NT$125 per month or NT$1,190 per year, with the first month free. These are planned prices and Pro isn't available to buy yet. You can tap "Notify Me When Available" on the 24h Pro page.

Can I use 24h without buying Pro?

Yes, every feature is free to use. The only differences between Pro and the free plan are: storage (1GB / 10GB), AI chats (30 / 600 per month), Close Ones (up to 5 / no limit), and ads (yes / no).

Is my data safe?

Only you can read and write your private data, which is protected by the database's security rules. Your birthday and social links are visible only to friends. You can also export your data from "Me › Account Security › Export my data".

Someone asked me to send money or a verification code

24h will never ask you for your password, verification code, or money. A stranger asking you to invest, send money, or buy gift cards or points is most likely a scam. Please block them right away.

What counts toward my storage?

These count toward your storage: photos, videos, and voice recordings saved to an album, diary photos, anniversary photos, event and to-do attachments, files in the Assistant's Stash, and photos, videos, and recordings in Moments. These don't count: photos, videos, and voice messages sent directly in chats (they expire after 7 days). Each file is stored only once and counted only once. The free plan has 1GB and Pro has 10GB. Going over the limit doesn't delete any files; you just can't upload more until you delete old files or check out 24h Pro.

Will photos in chats disappear?

Photos, videos, files, and voice messages sent directly in chats expire after 7 days. To keep one, long-press the message and choose "Save to Album", or tap "Save to Album" under the photo. Once saved to an album, it's kept forever and counts toward the storage of the person who saved it.

What are the upload limits?

Photos are compressed automatically (about 2,000 pixels on the long side). Turn on "Send photos in HD" in Me → Chat for clearer photos, or tap the ⊕ on the right of the input bar and choose "File" to send the original. You can pick up to 9 at a time. Each video can be up to 5 minutes, voice messages up to 5 minutes, and chat files up to 50MB. Events and to-dos can have up to 3 attachments of 10MB each; diaries can have up to 5 photos a day; each Moments post can have up to 9 photos or videos plus one recording of up to 60 seconds.

How are the Assistant's AI chats counted?

Each message you send to the Assistant and its reply counts as 1. Reading a photo, summarizing long text, or reading a link counts as 3 (you'll be told before it's used). Each live translation counts as 1. These don't count: Draw a Card and Fortune, Stash, browsing albums, Quick Log (the shortcut chips above the input box and the ⊕ feature panel), voice-to-text, and sentences the Assistant understands directly, like "weight 58" or "lunch 120". The free plan has 30 per month and Pro has 600. They reset on the 1st of each month and don't roll over.

What if I run out of AI chats?

When you've used up this month's chats, you can still log your weight, expenses, and mood with "Add Entry" and "Today's Mood" above the input box, or with "Quick Log" in the ⊕ on the right of the input bar, and you can keep using Draw a Card and Stash. Your chats reset automatically on the 1st of next month.

Are there ads?

Only the free plan shows native ads, on a few low-sensitivity pages (such as the bottom of the ledger stats page, below the calendar, and on Draw a Card results). Pro and the free trial never show ads. Ads never appear in chats, Assistant chats, diaries, Period, mood, Close Ones, Moments, or albums, and your health, period, mood, and diary data is never used for ads.

How do I share Today's Mood?

In your diary, pick "Today's Mood" and tap "Share", then choose Close Ones or friends (you can pick more than one). You can add a short message of up to 20 characters. They'll see a Mood Bubble on your profile photo and can tap "Hug" or "Cheer", or open a chat. The bubble disappears automatically at 23:59 that day, and you can cancel it anytime. They can't see your diary, your other moods, or your period data.

What are Moments?

Moments are updates from your friends. On the Friends tab, tap "Moments" next to the title at the top, and post from the top right. You can post text, photos, videos, and a recording (up to 9 photos or videos per post, recordings up to 60 seconds), and choose whether all friends, only your Close Ones, or specific friends can see it.
