Delete your 24h account
This document is a translation. If there is any difference, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.
Delete in the app (fastest, recommended)
- Open 24h and tap "Me" at the bottom.
- In the "Account" section, tap "Account Security."
- Tap "Delete account" and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm (email accounts need to enter their password; phone number accounts need to enter the SMS verification code).
You'll be signed out right away, and your account can't be restored. If you sign in with a phone number, please delete your account this way if you can. It's the fastest and safest option.
If you can't sign in to the app, request deletion by email
Email 24happ.office@gmail.com with the subject "Request to delete 24h account," and include the following based on how you sign in:
- Google or email sign-in: Send the email from the address you used to register for 24h, and include your 24h ID in the message (if you remember it).
- Phone number sign-in (the account has no email): Send from any email address, and include your 24h ID and the last three digits of your registered phone number. Please don't include your full phone number.
Once we confirm it's you, we'll delete your account within 7 business days and email you to let you know. If the details don't match and we can't confirm it's you, we'll reply asking for more information or ask you to sign in to the app and delete it yourself. To protect your account, we won't delete it if we can't confirm it's you.
What data is deleted
- Deleted immediately:
- Profile data, profile photo and cover photo, 24h ID, add-friend QR code, phone number registration
- Friends and private notes, block list, events (including events imported from Google, with Google Calendar authorization revoked), to-dos, Busy Hours
- Diary and diary photos, period records, Personal Ledger, Solo Trips (Project Ledgers not created in a chat, including entries and payment records), fixed expenses, cards and rewards, monthly net worth reports, Countdowns, Stash (24h Note) and attachments
- Close Ones (including your records and spot on the other person's side), and the Anniversary page shared with your Close One (daily question, Wish Box, Letter to the Future)
- Assistant chats and wishes, support chats, scheduled messages (not yet sent), devices and settings
- Moments you posted (including photos, videos, recordings, and the likes and comments on them), Today's Mood shares, Care Mode invitations (sent or received)
- Problem reports, Assistant AI usage counts, link preview counts, storage statistics, Pro entitlement records
- Deleted after 90 days: Photos and videos you uploaded to one-on-one and group Albums, and attachments you added to other people's events. During those 90 days they stay, with the uploader shown as "Deleted User." If you want to keep them, please download them before deleting your account. Photos, videos, and voice messages in chats already expire and are deleted after 7 days.
- Kept:
- Messages you sent in group and one-on-one chats will show as "Deleted User" so other people's chats stay complete. Entries in group Shared Ledgers are kept so other members can reconcile their accounts.
- Your comments and likes on other people's Moments stay on those Moments.
- Google Play purchase receipt records: The link to your account (account number) is removed, and only the receipt itself (product, status, expiration time) is kept for 5 years to prevent the same purchase from being tied to another account and to handle refunds. Payment records themselves are kept by Google.
- Pro gift cards you bought: Cards that have already been redeemed aren't affected. Cards that haven't been redeemed can no longer be redeemed, so please send them and ask the recipient to redeem them before you delete your account.
- Reports you submitted and account suspension records: Kept to prevent abuse and protect other users.
