24h uses the following outside services to provide its features. Each entry lists what the service is used for and what data may be sent to it. For full details, see the Privacy Policy.
Firebase and Google Cloud
- Used for: sign-in and accounts (Firebase Authentication), text data (Cloud Firestore, in Google Cloud data centers in Asia), photos, videos and files (Cloud Storage), server code (Cloud Functions), crash reports (Crashlytics), app usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase), and confirming connections come from the genuine app (App Check).
- Data that may be sent: account data (name, email, account ID), content you create in 24h, device information (phone model, system and app version), technical crash and error information, and feature usage counts. Usage statistics have advertising ID collection, Google signals and ad personalization turned off, and contain no message content, names, emails or phone numbers.
Claude (Anthropic)
- Used for: AI answers from the 24h Assistant; also used for Group summary, searching chat history by asking, one-on-one Chat insight, "Help me reply", and estimating calories from meal photos.
- Data that may be sent: the text you send and the last few Assistant messages; when you use the features above, also group text messages you can see, one-on-one text messages and photo thumbnails (up to 10), and meal photos you attach (up to 3). Voice, location and period records are never sent, and neither are events imported from Google Calendar. Processed under Anthropic's commercial terms and not used to train models.
- Before you use an AI feature for the first time, the app explains this and asks for your consent. One-line records such as logging an expense or your weight are never sent to AI.
Gemini (Google Cloud Vertex AI, backup)
- Used for: backup AI answers when Claude does not respond or is temporarily unavailable.
- Data that may be sent: the same as Claude. Processed under Google Cloud's terms of service and not used to train models.
Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple
- Used for: letting you sign in to 24h with your Google account or Apple ID.
- Data that may be sent: when you sign in, Google or Apple gives 24h your name, email and account ID. With Sign in with Apple you can choose "Hide My Email", and 24h only receives Apple's relay address.
Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service (APNs)
- Used for: sending push notifications for new messages, invitations, event reminders and more; notifications on iPhone are delivered through Apple's push service.
- Data that may be sent: your device's push token and the notification title and text (the sender's name and the start of the message). With "Hide content in notifications" turned on, notifications only say "You have a new message".
App Store and Google Play in-app purchases
- Used for: subscribing to 24h Pro and buying extra energy or storage. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
- Data that may be sent: 24h checks your purchase records and subscription status with Apple or Google (product, time, whether it is active) and keeps purchase and subscription records for 5 years to handle refunds and prevent reuse. 24h never receives your credit card or other payment details.
Google AdMob
- Used for: showing ads on a few screens of the free plan; no ads with Pro or during a trial.
- Data that may be sent: your advertising ID (if you allow it; iPhone asks first whether to allow tracking), device information, approximate location inferred from your network address, and ad view and click records. Chats, the Assistant, Diary, periods, mood, Close Ones, Moments and Albums never show ads, and none of that content is shared with advertisers. You can turn off personalized ads in the app's privacy settings.
Google Calendar import
- Used for: when you connect your Google account and choose calendars yourself, importing those events into 24h so they appear only on your own calendar; friends only see "Busy".
- Data that may be sent: 24h reads from Google the list of calendars you chose and their events (title, time, location, description). This data is never given to any AI (including the 24h Assistant), never used for ads and never sold, and it is deleted when you disconnect.
SMS verification (Firebase Authentication)
- Used for: sending a verification code by text message when you sign up, sign in or link an account with your phone number. Phone numbers from any country or region can be used.
- Data that may be sent: the phone number you enter. The code is generated by Google and sent through Google and mobile carriers; 24h does not keep the code.
Cloudflare
- Used for: (1) hosting the DNS settings of the use24h.com domain. The website itself is served by Firebase Hosting; the domain points directly to Firebase without going through Cloudflare's proxy or cache. (2) Running 24h's location helper (geo.use24h.com): when you sign in from a new device, it estimates the approximate location (city or country) of that sign-in from the connection, shown in the new-device sign-in alert.
- Data that may be sent: connection information (network address) when the app contacts the location helper. The helper only returns the estimated city and country and does not store any personal data; 24h does not keep the network address either. Visiting the website does not send data to Cloudflare.
ExchangeRate-API (exchange rates)
- Used for: once a day, 24h's servers read public exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com) for currency conversion in Ledgers.
- Data that may be sent: none. Only public exchange rates are read; no user data is sent.
- Source: Rates By Exchange Rate API
