- Once it's on, photos you send in chats and photos you save to the Album, Diary, and Moments are all uploaded in HD. You don't have to choose each time.
- HD photo files are larger and take longer to upload. They also use more storage when saved to the Album, Diary, and Moments (based on the actual size after compression).
- When it's off, photos are compressed to a size that's right for viewing on a phone. Photos that are already small won't be enlarged. Videos aren't affected by this setting.
- This setting is saved to your account, so it stays the same even when you sign in on a new phone.
- To send a completely uncompressed original photo in a chat, tap the ⊕ on the right of the input bar and choose the photo from "File".
